Go live from your browser

Your camera, or your screen, straight from the browser. Nothing to install.

This needs creekX at an https address, which means a domain (Add a domain later). Browsers only share a camera with a secure page.

Step by step

  1. Open a stream

Choose Streams, then a stream (or New stream).

  2. Choose camera or screen

Under Go live from this browser, choose Use my camera or Share my screen. Your browser asks permission: choose Allow. You see yourself in the preview.

  3. Go live

Choose Go live. The stream turns red: viewers and your platforms get it now.

  4. Stop

Choose End live. Keep the page open while you are live: closing the tab ends the live.

Good to know

  • Works in current Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari.
  • A wired connection or strong Wi-Fi gives the steadiest picture.
  • The browser blocked the camera? Click the camera icon in the address bar, allow it, and reload the page.
  • Want guests on screen with you? Use Live with guests.
  • On a server behind a company firewall, port 8189 must be open (Ports to open).
